this is something that predates Ashok and I both, so we are trying to find exactly what/how this maintenance is started and schedule it so that each server does it at different times so it does not effect the whole site

We added a new feature where it will show a nice looking page ( http://static.justbeenpaid.com/maintenance/) any time the site has problems so we can inform our members of issues rather than just display an error as we did before. Hopefully this will cut down on reports from members about problems if they think we already know about them.

That page will show updates from an IT twitter feed, and myself or Ashok will post there any time we have a server issue. However, you don't have to visit that page to get the updates, if you use twitter and want to be notified any time we post something to that feed, follow @JBPITDept.

There are some issues happening with earnings: we had one of our other database servers upgraded yesterday but they did not inform us beforehand and the server was rebooted in the middle of the earnings calculations.

The process did not complete and we are still working to clean up the mess rebooting that server caused (without letting us prep everything to be shut down first), so there are some no-pay and double-pay issues as a result of trying to catch back up. We will try to get more information to you once we have everything sorted out.

<<< FYI. Patrick is making a code change to place triplers as soon as ordered instead of through a queue. Then old queue will empty out and we will always be caught up then. Same for jss down the road.
